Risotto: What if you could have rice soak up all the soup?
Risotto is so incredibly easy to make once you’ve gotten the hang of it.
All you really have to do is:
- without pre-cooking the rice, bake the risotto rice in some oil until it gets a bit white-ish looking (less transparent)
- then, slowly start ladling in / adding scoops of your favorite broth or soup. It needs to be sufficiently watery/broth-like for it to soak into the rice properly, but other than that you can use basically any soup.
- Wait until the soup starts cooking and soaks a bit into the rice.
- simply keep adding more soup and boiling it for about 15 minutes. This takes a while but you end up with very delicious soaked rice that is absolutely worth the wait!
